Our Story

A neighborhood
institution since day one

The Chapel Lounge began as a quiet promise: to make bread the way it should be made — slowly, with care, and with ingredients you can taste. Located in the historic heart of Pioneer Square, our bakery has become a gathering place for neighbors, early commuters, and anyone who believes a great croissant is worth the wait.

Every morning our ovens fire before dawn. Our sourdough ferments for 48 hours. Our pastries are folded by hand. We source flour from Pacific Northwest mills and coffee from roasters who share our obsession with quality. This isn't a chain. This is a craft.

"The sourdough here changed the way I think about bread. I drive across town for it. No exaggeration."
